Introduction to Our Pastor
| Dr. Kirt Mitchell is married to the former Diane Busby of Anderson. Diane is a Cytotechnologist at Anderson Area Medical Center. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston with a Bachelor's Degree. Dr. and Mrs. Mitchell have two grown children, Greg and Chrissy. Greg is an engineer with RMT, having graduated from Clemson University with a Master's Degree. He is married to the former Dawn Johnson, who is a school teacher and holds a Master's Degree from Converse College. They have two daughters, Lily Grace and Hannah Faith. Greg and Dawn are very active in Pelham First Baptist Church, Greer, South Carolina. |

Chrissy is a school teacher in Elberton County, Georgia, having graduated from Lander with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, and from the University of South Carolina with a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. She is married to Jake Smith, a graduate of the University of Georgia, and Vice-President of Central Granite Company in Elberton, Georgia. Jake and Chrissy are very active in Northside Baptist Church in Elberton.
Dr. Mitchell is a gradate of Anderson College (now Anderson University) in Anderson, South Carolina, with an Associate of Arts Degree; Lynchburg Baptist College(now Liberty University) Lynchburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science Degree; Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree; and Luther Rice Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry Degree. His passion is to see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to grow in discipleship.
