Varennes Heights Baptist Church

Music is a vital part of the worship experience at Varennes Heights. Our Music Ministry is a blend of music styles while always being uplifting and enthusiastic. It sets the tone for worship making it an integral tool in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The purpose of our Music Ministry is to glorify God by exalting His name in song.

There are a number of opportunities for children, youth and adults to participate in the Varennes Heights music program.

• The Children’s Choir (5 years old-6th Grade) meet for rehearsal at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. They perform during the worship services, as well as, presenting a Christmas Musical and a Summer Musical.
• The Youth Choir (7th-12th Grades) meet for rehearsal at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. They sing in the worship services and perform one musical drama each year.
• The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. They have Easter and Christmas presentations each year.

The psalmist has said “Praise ye the Lord; for it is good to sing praises to our God”. What better way to do that than by becoming a part of the Varennes Heights Music Ministry; after all, Christians have more reason to sing than anyone.
